A poetic cartography of the history of the world and of humanity

From the Arctic where the Earth was born to Cadarache where the energy of the future is forged, each of the 60 places of Atlas of Water has been chosen for its symbolic power in the history of humanity.

These places are gathered into eight chapters, from cosmogony to planetary boundaries. Some are archaeological sites, others natural spaces, sacred cities, seas of battle or territories in peril. All have water. And that water was used to paint.

Hover over each point on the map to discover the place
and the water that came from it.
